District 6 Campaign Guidelines
FASC DISTRICT 6 Campaign Guidelines for District Officer Candidates
Banners/Posters: Each school will be allowed to display a maximum of 3 posters. The posters must be a regulation size of 22 x 28 in. (Each school must check with the host school for the third district meeting for proper location of posters.)
Handouts: Each candidate school will be allowed to distribute the following campaign materials: Candy, flyers, and one theme-related trinket.
Speeches: The speech must be given by the person(s) who will be serving, if elected, in the office for which they are running.
First Session Business Meeting: Each candidate school must have a school to nominate and second its candidacy for a district office.
Second Session Business Meeting: Each candidate school will be allowed a maximum of ten people to perform a 3-minute speech or less. The order of candidate speeches will be Secretary/Treasurer, Vice-President, and President.
Candidate schools must clean-up all campaign materials immediately after voting.
Reminder-ARTICLE VII ELECTIONS
Section 2: The written permission of the principal of each candidate school shall be required to send to President and Secretary/Treasurer two weeks prior to the last District Convention.
Section 3: Officer schools shall be elected by the delegates of the schools present by secret ballot and majority rule. Each school shall have only one vote.
Section 4: In the event there are no candidates for an office, the current president shall appoint a nominating committee. It shall be the duty of the committee to present at least one nomine for each office. The principals of the schools shall give written consent over the telephone or via fax.
Section 5: No school shall hold the same district office two years in succession.
