This year's banquet will be held at Signature Grand in Davie on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 . The banquet will start at 7:00 p.m. The Outstanding Senior Leader Program is intended to recognize public high school seniors who have achieved excellence in both the classroom and as student leaders. We are pleased to announce that the Herff Jones Company and Mr. Charles Pulari will, once again, be sponsors of this year's Outstanding Senior Leaders Program. Attached for your use, are the senior leader selection form and eligibility criteria. Each high school may select four senior leaders to be honored. The students must meet the following criteria: • Must be a senior in high school. • Must have a minimum unweighted 3.0 G.P.A., including the first semester of the senior year. • Must have demonstrated good character and citizenship. • Must have demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities. • Must hold a major elected or appointed school leadership position during the senior year. • Must be recommended by the high school principal.
A 2 inch by 3 inch senior class picture must accompany the completed selection packet and must be signed by the principal. Please contact Mr. Michael Roland, Student Activities Liaison, at (754) 321-1201, if you have any questions. The Department of Student Activities and Athletics must receive the selection packets on or before 3:00pm , Tuesday, January 12, 2010 . Packets should be sent or delivered to Lockhart Stadium. The banquet is complimentary for the four students nominated by your school. Additional banquet tickets for family, friends and staff may be purchased at a cost of $40 each by contacting 754-321-1201 no later than 3:00pm , Wednesday, February 10, 2010.
